Blood on Your Hands

dont ask me to sing kumbaya with blood on your hands.

dont ask me to call you brother while you are wrapped in your privilege which exploits me.

dont tell me that you dont see color or gender when you live and work in lily white sausage fests enclaves of privilege.

we are not the world when no black people live near you, work near you, shop near you, work for you, study near yo, exercise near you…
I wont sing We are the World until we are both working to make it true. working not waiting…

dont ask me to sing kumbaya when you have my blood on your hands!
